FAQs

Do I need to have any previous dance experience?
Not for our beginner courses. They are designed for people who have never stepped onto a dance floor. We appreciate that you may feel a little nervous initially but we will start things off very slowly. Our priority is your enjoyment and we won’t tell you off or embarrass you in any way!

What should I wear?
Comfort is key. Make sure you are wearing clothing and footwear you can move in (many beginners will opt for jeans and pumps/trainers). We would strongly recommend wearing flat shoes initially. You can always invest in a pair of proper dance shoes later down the line. We may be keeping doors and windows open to increase ventilation so please dress warmly during cooler weather.

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. All courses, one-off sessions and private lessons must be booked in advance, even if you hold a membership. We will not accept any payments on the door or allow anyone who hasn’t booked to enter the premises.

Do I need a partner?
Yes. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept bookings from solo dancers so please arrange to attend with a partner. Partner-swapping is not permitted and staff members will be unable to dance in hold with any customers. We are planning on running some solo classes soon so join our mailing list to be kept up to date

Can I book for more than one course?
Yes! You can book for as many as you like.

Am I required to wear a mask?
No. However, we do encourage everyone to wear masks when entering and exiting the premises where you may come into contact with other people.

Can I bring my own drink?
At our Buckley venue you will not be allowed to bring your own drinks as there is a bar. At all other venues we recommend bringing your own drink

Can I use existing vouchers/memberships?
Yes. If you have booked recently you will have a code to use at checkout for any of our service. If you do not have your code for any reason then please get in touch and we will help you with your booking.

What happens if there are any further lockdowns in the future?
Courses will be temporarily paused and will resume again when the restrictions are lifted and we feel it is safe to do so. If you have have booked any improver sessions or private lessons, we will get you re-booked in on a day that works for you.

Will you be introducing any more courses to the timetable?
We very much hope so!. We are starting things off slowly and will aim to expand our timetable in the near future.

Can I cancel my booking?
Unfortunately spaces are very limited so bookings are non-refundable. However, if we are able to offer your place to another couple, we will issue a refund to you and will endeavour to help you move your booking to a future date wherever possible.

What can I do if the course I wanted to join is fully-booked?
Let us know. We will put you on the waiting list in case spaces become available. If we are aware that a course is in high demand, we will adjust our timetable accordingly.

I am struggling to keep up with the pace of the class - what should I do?
Don’t panic. If you are falling behind because you had to miss a week, stick with it. It generally takes however many weeks you missed to catch up again. If you are struggling to keep up with the pace of the class or you don’t understand something, tell us. We may well be able to fix your problem there and then. Otherwise, you may wish to consider booking a private lesson so we can give you our undivided attention and solve whatever the problem may be. We are also expanding our range of online lessons on youtube so you can catch up between sessions if you feel like you need it.
